The $68m state-of-the-art NaeNae Pool and Fitness Centre is New Zealand’s most sustainable aquatic centre, containing a 50m pool, two hydroslides, a family-friendly leisure pool, fitness centre, and a pool-side party room.

The previous NaeNae Pool, which was closed over siesmic concerns, was an important part of the city and supported community wellbeing. The new pool is one of Lower Hutt’s most significant infrastructure projects, and was awarded a 5 Green Star rating for its environmentally sustainable design.

Duraplan’s environmentally friendly compact laminate solutions were the ideal choice for the pool’s restroom and changeroom spaces. We provided toilet partitioning in both our economical Urban Range and our full privacy Altitude Range, as well as vanities and locker cubbies.
